Pet Ferret
Pet Ferrets can be a feisty, entertaining addition to your family. Pet Ferrets though rather uncommon in a mainly dog and cat owned world, Pet Ferrets are steadily becoming more popular. Pet Ferrets are a wonderful pet, some call Pet Ferrets “a perfect blend of cat and dog” in terms of personality and care.
Pet Ferrets have a relatively higher maintenance value then cats do; they’ll want all the care and attention they can possibly get. But Pet Ferrets also tend to be easier then dogs, care wise. Pet Ferrets are wonderfully happy, exuberant, and determined, and easily make a wonderful companion. Pet Ferrets, like cats, can be trained to use a litter box, though Pet Ferrets are often more iffy about using the litter box then cats are. Pet Ferrets can also be trained to walk on a leash, and other obedience tricks that both dogs and cats can learn.
Pet Ferrets also get along reasonably well with other animals that you may have in the house. Pet Ferrets can easily get along with other cats or dogs given time. But keep in mind, it’s not guaranteed. If you have more aggressive pets in the house (such as a hunting dog) you may want to reconsider buying a Pet Ferret for an addition to your family. Likewise, having smaller children and a Pet Ferret (both of which are easily excitable) may not be the best combination either.
The downside to having a Pet Ferret that many Pet Ferret owners
complain about is their scent. Each Pet Ferret has its own, unique
scent, and it has a tendency to bother many people. So make sure
you have to opposition to a Pet Ferret’s smell before purchasing
your pet. Another concern is how energetic Pet Ferrets are. They
love to get into anything and everything, and especially love to
dig into the carpet and in place. Granted, this can vary from Pet
Ferret to Pet Ferret, but they usually have these common traits.
Therefore, it’s vitally important you ‘ferret proof’
your house if you decide on getting a Pet Ferret for the family.
